Voip-Pal.com, Inc. Files Reply to Petition for Inter Partes Review by Unified Patents and Provides an Update in its $7 Billion Patent Infringement Lawsuit
August 29, 2016 -- Voip-Pal.com Inc. (“Voip-Pal”, “Company”) (OTCQB:VPLM) is pleased to announce the Company’s patent attorneys, Knobbe Martens Olson & Bear LLP have filed a response on their behalf to the Petition for Inter Partes Review (IPR) by Unified Patents. The response was filed on Friday, August 26, 2016 with the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB) of the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). A decision by the PTAB on whether or not to institute the IPR is expected in the next 90 days. The entire IPR response has been posted on the Company’s website voip-pal.com and may be accessed using this link: IPR.
The Company also announced they have entered into a mutual agreement with Apple, Verizon and AT&T to stay, pending the outcome of the IPR’s, the court actions that were filed earlier this year in which the company is seeking combined infringement damages of more than $7 billion dollars.
“We invite everyone to read the reply which has been posted on voip-pal.com and draw their own conclusions. Our team is currently preparing, for filing in September, our responses to two IPR petitions filed by Apple,” said CEO, Emil Malak.
